Built in 1782, the palace has been the official residence of the kings of Siam [and later Thailand]. The grand is still used for important ceremonies and accommodating head of state. One of the most popular tourists attractions in Thailand.

Established and opened in 1874 by king Chulalongkorn to exhibit the royal collections of his father king Mongkut. It is one of the largest museums in Southeast Asia and also features Thai art and history.
